Comdom Sabotage in Nova Scotia

This news story is about a 41 year old man who pokes holes into this girlfriends condoms to try and safe their relationship with pregnancy. He was charged with sexual assault for putting his girlfriends life in danger since she got pregnant and she wasn't ready for it and got an abortion.
The motivation in this story i think is power and control. Hutchinson wanted control over the relationship so he decided to force his girlfriend to have a baby so they would stay together.
The roots of this behaviour i think is from past family memories. Maybe Hutchinson cant get girlfriends easy and him being older wanted to settle down with a family. And perhaps his family was a happy family and he just wanted to have one of his own before it was to late. So even though Hutchinson put his girlfriends life in danger by poking holes into her condoms, i think he was only doing it out of love and wanting to be with her. Which could also lead to obsession. Maybe he was obsessed with her?!
